The statistical book presents information on the activities of cultural organisations in the Republic of Belarus. The information was prepared on the basis of the data of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, Ministry of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus, and the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus.
The book contains data on the main indicators reflecting the activities of museums, professional theatres, concert organisations, public libraries, club institutions, stationary circuses, zoos, amusement parks, children’s art schools, as well as the data featuring the development of new services of cultural institutions on the basis of information and communication technologies.
A separate section is dedicated to the production of print media.
Selected indicators are presented in a breakdown by regions and districts of the Republic of Belarus; for the main indicators international comparisons are provided.
Selected statistical indicators are furnished with brief methodological notes.
