At the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, a working meeting was held by the Chairperson Inna Medvedeva with a delegation of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The international delegation was represented by the head of the UNFPA office in the Republic of Belarus, Olga Atroshenko, and the UNFPA Regional Adviser on Population and Development, Eduard Mihalas.
The Parties discussed the results of many years of fruitful cooperation in the field of demographic statistics, and exchanged views on current areas of cooperation.
Participants outlined key strategic initiatives, among which priority is the preparation and conduct of the 2030 round of population censuses in the Republic of Belarus, the establishment of a statistical population register, as well as the provision of expert support in the field of demographic statistics.
The meeting was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, which demonstrates mutual interest in further development of cooperation.
