Experience of Belarus in nationalizing the Sustainable Development Goals and producing time-use statistics presented at the regional conference in Georgia

Development of gender statistics and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the context of gender issues were discussed at the regional conference "Gender Statistics: Challenges and Opportunities to SDGs Monitoring" on July 25 - 26, 2019 in Tbilisi, Georgia. The event was organized by the National Statistics Office of Georgia jointly with the UN Women. The Belarusian side was represented at the conference by Deputy Chairperson of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, member of the National Council on Gender Policy under the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus Elena Kukharevich.

The Conference participants shared best practices and experience in the production and dissemination of gender statistics, discussed the ways of filling data gaps, better access to quality and comparable data, as well as gender mainstreaming at the regional level.

Deputy Chairperson E. Kukharevich presented the experience of the Republic of Belarus in nationalizing the SDGs and producing time-use data.
