Small business in the Republic of Belarus

The statistical data book presents information on the main economic indicators of small business entities in the Republic of Belarus, i.e. micro entities, small entities, private (peasant) farms and individual entrepreneurs, for years 2007-2009.

The data book contains detailed information on the number of micro and small entities, their sectoral and territorial structure, number of employees, wages, output of goods and services, volume of industrial production, investments in fixed capital, commodity turnover, and financial results of micro and small entities.

There are also statistical materials on the major economic indicators of private (peasant) farms: number of farms, number of employees, financial performance, sown area under agricultural crops, production of principal agricultural products, yield capacity of agricultural crops, number of livestock and poultry; as well as of individual entrepreneurs: number of entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial incomes (revenues), tax revenues to the budget, and selected statistical indicators characterizing trading activities of individual entrepreneurs.

Main indicators are shown in a breakdown by branches of the economy, kinds of economic activity, ownership types and regions. 

Selected statistical indicators are furnished with methodological explanations.
