The statistical book presents indicators describing demographic trends in the country. Included are data on administrative and territorial division, number and age-sex composition of the population, its distribution on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, as well as birth and death rates.

Data on births are given in distribution by age and marital status of mother and by birth order; data on deaths are given by sex, age and cause of death. The statistical book contains generalized demographic indicators describing population reproduction processes as a whole, and data on the life expectancy at birth. There is also information on marriages, divorces and migration.

Long-term time series are given for the whole country, by regions and for Minsk-City.

Main indicators presented in the book are provided with methodological notes.
