The statistical book contains data describing foreign trade in goods and services, foreign trade activity of organisations with a share owned by foreign natural persons or foreign legal entities, and that of residents of free economic zones and small businesses of the Republic of Belarus.

The information on foreign trade is presented in the following breakdowns: geographical distribution of exports and imports by countries (including the regions of the Russian Federation) and country groupings; commodity pattern of exports and imports by sections and groupings of Trade Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Belarus, by sections and groups of the International Standard Trade Classification, by Broad Economic Categories, and by aggregated commodity groups (investment, intermediate and consumer goods); distribution of exports and imports of major commodities by country; and commodity composition of exports and imports by main trade partner countries. Unit value indices and physical volume indices of exports and imports of goods are also published.
