The statistical book is the main publication of the Minstat that contains information on the economic and social development of the regions of Belarus for 1990 and 1995-2007. The information on the regions and Minsk-City, presented in separate sections, includes brief description of the region, data on demographic situation, labour force and employment, incomes of the population, basic indicators of household sample surveys, housing conditions, education, culture, science and innovations. The book provides data on the situation in the major branches of the economy: industry, agriculture, and construction. Main indicators on trade and paid services rendered to the population, finances, foreign economic relations, and small businesses are also published.

Data on the most important socio-economic indicators are presented in a breakdown by districts and cities. Main statistical indicators are provided with methodological notes.
