This publication of the Ministry of Statistics and Analysis of the
Republic of Belarus is the most complete yearbook reflecting phenomena and processes
taking place in the economic and social life of the country. It contains wide information
on the population, employment, and living standards. Published are data on national
accounts, finance, prices and tariffs, and investment activity. There are data
characterizing the situation in individual sectors of the economy: in industry,
agriculture, transport, etc. Some international comparisons are also given.
Some data for 2001 are revised as compared with those published earlier. In some cases the
2002 data are preliminary and will be revised in further issues.
Brief methodological explanatory notes are given for some statistical indicators.

Regional Statistical Yearbooks 2002
The CD-ROM contains electronic copies of statistical yearbooks of all six regions of the country and of Minsk-City. Major data on the socio-economic situations of the regions and Minsk-City for 2001 as compared with previous years are presented. The electronic copies of the statistical yearbooks contain statistical data on the demographic situation, labour market, education and culture, healthcare and housing conditions. Also presented are data characterizing the situation in selected sectors of the economy of the regions and Minsk-City: industry, agriculture, construction, services to households. The major indicators are accompanied by methodological notes.
